[More technically, it is information for future use that is stored by the server on the client side of a client/server communication.] Typically, a cookie records your preferences when using a particular site. Using the Web's Hypertext Transfer Protocol [HTTP], each request for a Web page is independent of all other requests. For this reason, the Web page server has no memory of what pages it has sent to a user previously or anything about your previous visits. A cookie is a mechanism that allows the server to store its own information about a user on the user's own computer. You can view the cookies that have been stored on your hard disk [although the content stored in each cookie may not make much sense to you]. The location of the cookies depends on the browser. Internet Explorer stores each cookie as a separate file under a Windows subdirectory. Netscape stores all cookies in a single cookies.txt fle. Opera stores them in a single cookies.dat file. Cookies are commonly used to rotate the banner ads that a site sends so that it doesn't keep sending the same ad as it sends you a succession of requested pages. They can also be used to customize pages for you based on your browser type or other information you may have provided the Web site. Web users must agree to let cookies be saved for them, but, in general, it helps Web sites to serve users better.") Third Party Service Providers: T4T contracts with, and will contract with, third party service providers to perform functions on our behalf which are directly related to the primary business of T4T. Examples may include delivering packages, fulfilling orders, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to our customers’ PII needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. T4T does not sell or rent its customer information to third parties.

Business Transfers and Expansion: As T4T continues to develop our business, we might pursue an IPO, be acquired or engage in a merger. In these cases, our customers’ PII would likely be an asset of the business which is transferred in that transaction, but remains subject to the terms and conditions of any pre-existing Privacy Notice unless a customer does not provide their consent.

Business Bankruptcy: In the case where T4T may be required to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, our customers' PII would be included as an asset of the business and, as such, would be made available for review by officers of the bankruptcy court, financial forensics professionals they assign, and legal counsel representing the parties to the matter.

Protecting T4T and Our Customers Against Fraud

Protecting T4T,, our Other Domains and Other Parties: T4T, in compliance with law, government agency warrants, subpoenas and other government orders, releases PII to those agencies and officials when appropriate. We also release PII to enforce or T4T’s Conditions of Use and other agreements and to protect the safety, rights and property of T4T, our customers or others. In compliance with fraud protection requirements of our merchant banking and credit institutions, T4T exchanges information with other companies and organizations to ensure fraud protection and to reduce credit risk.

How T4T Secures Customer Credit Card Transactions: We receive product orders directly via our website through Yahoo Small Business. We must enter the order processing area of our site using a privacy code. T4T is also a PayPal small business merchant and we process all transactions through PayPal. When orders come in PayPal confirms for us whether or not a customer is a verified PayPal member and confirms for us a member's shipping address. If confirmation isn't complete an order may be automatically marked by them "pending review". We may investigate and update the order to "OK", "fraudulent", "cancelled", "returned" or "on hold". PayPal provides authorization for a US$ limit on the transaction. This is a limited time authorization which lasts only 30 days and is automatically void if we do not complete processing the order.

T4T reveals only the last four digits of customer credit card numbers when confirming an order, though the entire credit card number is transmitted to the appropriate credit card company during the processing of your order. T4T encourages you, as our customer, to also protect yourself against fraud via unauthorized access to your password, your computer and its IP address.
